Welcome to spaceug.org (the “Platform”), a digital civic engagement platform developed under the CIVICUS Crisis Response Fund. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Platform, including all content, services, and features available on or through the website.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or post content on the Platform. By using the Platform, you affirm that you are legally permitted to do so under the laws of your country.

2. User Accounts and Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

• You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration and use.

• You agree not to impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization or movement.

SpaceUG is intended for:

• Sharing civic knowledge and advocacy content

• Connecting with civil society and human rights defenders

• Participating in community discussions

• Accessing tools, resources, and opportunities related to civic action and human rights

You agree not to use the Platform:

• For unlawful purposes or to violate any applicable law or regulation

• To harass, intimidate, threaten, or defame any individual or group

• To share or distribute false information, hate speech, or violent content

• To promote or incite discrimination, including on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, or religion

• To interfere with the security or operation of the Platform

4. Content Ownership and Licensing

• You retain ownership of any content you upload, post, or share on the Platform.

• By posting content, you grant SpaceUG a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content for advocacy, educational, or promotional purposes, in accordance with these Terms.

• You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to share any content, including images, videos, or documents.

5. Moderation and Content Removal

• SpaceUG reserves the right to monitor, review, and remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

• We may suspend or terminate accounts found in repeated or severe breach of our standards, especially involving hate speech, threats, or disinformation.

6. Privacy and Data Use

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SpaceUG, its affiliates, funders, and staff from any claims or disputes arising out of your content, use of the Platform, or violation of these Terms.
